Work from left to right: peach shoe, repainted pink parts, black laces, and bottom; pink shoe: repainted/repaired all the little balls on it, repainted the inner & bottom; purple shoe: completely repainted; lace shoe: repainted bottom (thank goodness, all those lacy details would have been a nightmare to do!)

Just a quick update today on a few things you should know about. I got into another treasury! This time it’s not one of my original creations but it’s still exciting to get out there. Plus, the rest of the treasury items are pretty nifty too!
Also, I would like to tell everybody about Katey and Ron. They’re a couple in New York who are getting married in a few months, but recently lost everything to an apartment fire, including their house rabbit Olivia =(. The couple is looking for donations of money and wedding things like clothes, invitations, etc. as well as home items to replace what they lost. I personally have had 3 house fires in my immediate family in less than 15 years, so I can relate to her story. I wanted to donate an item in my shop to Katey, to help her build up her wardrobe again, and she chose “Studious Slate:”

Ah-ha, I’m back! Saturday morning I was surprised to find an Email in my inbox from Paypal, telling me I had an unclaimed balance. I was confused at first until I checked my Etsy page…I made a sale! One of my loveliest pieces, “Desaturated Dressing Room,” sold! I ran to the attic like a kid on Christmas to dig it out, and ended up bringing back the rest of my jewelry stuff too.
It was really inspiring to know I sold something without even doing any promoting—-I feel like that means I’ve really got the talent if I can get someone to buy one of my pieces without even asking. Pawing through my stuff was good; I’ve grown intimately familiar with the pieces I’ve got for sale but I pulled up a few other pieces that I completed but never listed due to lack of a camera. I still don’t have a decent one but I thought I’d at least put them up here so you can see what I’ve been working on:

I haven’t thought of names for any of these pieces yet, although the pictures I took with my cell phone came out better than I expected. I’m laid up in bed right now with a nasty tummy ache, but perhaps I’ll get new listings started and try taking some better pictures when I can go outside…
